3 · Worked example

A writer with forty ideas and no finished essays does not need a faster keyboard. Selection is the constraint. One clear rule, one essay a month, widens it: twelve finished essays a year instead of none.

4 · Exercise

List the steps between an idea and a shipped result. Where does work wait longest? Change only that step this week.

The same idea, redrawn

Every idea is drawn twice: first as it feels, then as it actually works. The gap between the two drawings is the lesson. Here is the bottleneck again, with dinner instead of essays.
